When I first heard of Lush having a spa, I assumed it wouldn't be anything like other spas i've been to (in a negative way), yet this was unique and incredibly memorable in the best possible way, as well as feeling classy and luxurious.
Nestled within their inviting Bath Store, Lush offers a transformative spa experience that transcends the ordinary. You initially book a session in-store or on a call, you can ask questions to what treatment best suits you e.g I chose 'Tailor Made' as it was among the cheaper of the massages, 30 minutes long (perfect length of time) and tailored to relieve specific areas of muscle tension. Exclusively at Cardiff and Bath, they offer you an immersive self-led bath experience (that includes a bath bomb and face mask).
All of the treatments on the Lush Spa menu are available in all spas including: The Good Hour, Synaesthesia, Tailor Made, The Spell, The Comforter, Hard Days Night Treatment, Renaissance, Tangled Hair, Tales of Bath, Validation Facial, Fresh Facial, The Energiser and Karma.

The Lush store i went to in Bath
We got taken downstairs to the spa area, which had moody lighting and a kitchen waiting room that had tables full of products to try and play with whilst you wait for your spa therapist. They give you a jug of fruit and mint infused water which refreshes you, whilst talking to you in the waiting area one-on-one about what you desire for your treatment (I chose to relieve the muscle tension on my back, shoulders and head (the perfect relaxation combination) as well as helping you to fill out a form to state if you have any allergies etc.
For my tailor made massage, the masseuse brought out Lush's whole range of massage bars, allowing us to smell each one to see what we would like to choose for our treatment. This then became a free gift afterwards that we got to take home! The treatment was inspired by the sea and he gave us a blue sea-salt bath bomb to put into a jug, I smelt it and then they took me to the treatment room. To my surprise, he poured the jug into some sort of steamer that made this blue-tinted dry ice effect on the floor, hovering over it and rippling like an ocean and the scent of it was heavenly. My massage was perfect, the products he used alongside the massage bar smelt of lavender, seaweed and eucalyptus. He used pressure and trigger pointing techniques that helped to ease the knots in my back and shoulders.
The massaging was to the sounds of sea shanties (by Lush Fresh Handmade Sound) which I thought was going to be strange and did feel a bit odd at the beginning, until I eased up and enjoyed each songs immersive nature - as if it was transporting me into an old seaside town. It's perfect if your known to fall asleep during massages, as this soundtrack kept my interest peaked. If you don't like it, you can ask them to turn it down/off anyways!
I loved how kind, calming and talented my masseuse was, he made me feel truly comfortable and after the massage, he took me to a seated area for a cup of herbal tea and biscuit to finish.
This was genuinely worth every pound I spent. I also felt it wasn't too extra or had provided too much fuss, the added immersive aspects to the experience made it even more special and unlike any other spa experience i've had. I would rate this a 10/10!
