Marlow is a beautiful town located by the River Thames in Buckinghamshire. A popular spot for tourists for its stunning natural beauty, range of high-end shops & restaurants - as well as only being a short trip (under an hour) on the train from central London.

For high-quality meat dishes:

Tom Kerridge's Butcher's Tap and Grill

With a butcher's counter with a large host of different 100% British meats (including wagyu steaks), Kerridge's Butcher's help you pick out the cut suited to your tastes - and cooked to your liking. This place truly celebrates the art of grilling.

The pub interior feels classic and welcoming, and the service is 10/10. It is also very central in town on Marlow Road.

With your choice of meat, it comes with the options of flavoured butter; béarnaise, peppercorn or truffle with a watercress and rocket salad. If you don't want the meat on its own, you can order an impressive burger (ranging from £16 to £19.50). Further sides include fried mac n cheese, chicken wings, scotch egg (all £9.50).

Please see the full menu here.

Kids eat free (under 12), when accompanied by an adult Monday to Thursday, from 3pm to 5pm!

For authentic flavours:

Suum Kitchen

A Vietnamese restaurant with incredible service, atmosphere and variety of authentic, colourful and tasty dishes - Suum tends to have great walk-in availability, but Wednesdays and Saturdays are busier so I recommend to book anyways!

Starters are impressive, from summer and spring rolls, to Saigon pancake and lemongrass scallops. Their broth for the pho and noodle dishes is cooked for a whopping 10 hours, and made from a blend of 6 different cuts of beef. Costs range from £15 to £19 for main dishes.

There is also a separate menu for vegetarian and vegan options such as the vegetable pho, curry and aubergine and tofu claypot.

For affordability:

Fegos

A great spot for breakfast, there full english is £13.65 and is delicious. I recommend the breakfast burrito (£10.95) and the mouth-watering pancakes, with savoury or sweet options (£9.50 to £12.95). Bake house has some tasty pasteries and sweet treats and veggie/vegan options are available on the menu too.

Their quality dishes carry through lunch to 4pm, with a great selection of salad bowls which you can build with extras, burgers, steak, chicken, sandwiches and wraps.

For a french dining experience:

Vanilla Pod

A polished yet intimate French-English fusion fine dining spot on West Street, where chef‑owner Michael  Macdonald has quietly delivered consistent, thoughtful modern European cuisine since 2002. It is situated in the famous poet T.S Eliot's house, where he lived in 1918.

There is a 5, 7 and 9 course tasting menu with wine pairings, where the 9 course is a complete suprise. There is also an À La Carte (meat and vegetarian versions), with 2 courses (£50 pp) or 3 courses (£60 pp). This is an amazing dining experience, with each dish being of high-quality (I found their meats to always be perfectly cooked).

If you would like to spend a little less, go for lunch - costing £27.50 for three courses on the set lunch menu.

Make sure you book beforehand!

For Michelin-star dining:

Tom Kerridge's The Coach

A hot-spot of Marlow, and a more relaxed feel compared to the Kerridge's 'The Hand and Flowers' (which is more expensive), Michelin-starred 'The Coach' serves pub classics in the centre of Marlow.

Breakfast hosts a great classic selection, from the £16.50 full english, £14 french toast, to smoked salmon and caviar crumpet for £18.50! I loved that the set lunch was only £15 for two courses, and an extra £7.50 for a third - hosting a goats cheese salad, hearty fish pie and for dessert, a roasted plum with mascarpone and almond crumb. It's an eye-watering £8 for their chips if you'd like it as a side...

Do note it is closed Tuesdays from early morning to late evening. Book in advance.

For a beautiful setting:

The Ivy Marlow Garden

ree

Nestled on Marlow High Street, The Instagrammable Ivy Garden blends classic Ivy Collection charm with a bright botanical décor and a breezy courtyard space. It offers an all-day menu—from breakfast and lunch to afternoon tea and dinner—plus a vibrant cocktail bar atmosphere.

Their £20.95 two-course heritage menu is a great-value option, I recommend the truffle arancini, crispy duck salad, or slow-cooked lamb shoulder. I also recommend their Sunday Roast, which is from 11am to 4pm.

The Afternoon tea is a hit with visitors, being beautifully presented and with good sized portions. You are given warm scones, finger sandwiches, mini cakes and scones alongside a tea of your choice. This is available everyday from 3pm to 5pm and costs £34.25!

Megan's at Liston Court

ree

Megan’s at Liston Court is a beautifully styled Mediterranean-inspired spot tucked just off Marlow High Street, with a cosy ambience. Open daily for brunch, lunch, and dinner, it strikes a mid-range price point with most mains and brunch plates in the £15–30 range, and sharing boards or brunch specials reaching slightly higher.

Popular items include the Turkish brunch feast, “posh” lamb doner kebab, shakshouka, and indulgent desserts like the half-baked cookie dough and baklava with ice cream.

I like their dog‑friendly facilities, including pup beds and water bowls!
